Andrea Rau is the former global HR procurement director for Siemens who in her previous role managed annual spend in excess of 1.3 billion euros. Now working for her own consultancy near Munich, Andrea is still very much engaged in the global HR procurement community and will bring a wealth of experience and insight to this year’s ProcureCon HR conference in Amsterdam as a discussion moderator and chairperson.

Cris Buningh is the Enterprise Category Manager for Professional Services at Shell, based in the Hague in the Netherlands. Responsible for all procurement of Consulting, Accounting, Legal, IT services, HR Services, Contract Labour and R&D for Shell worldwide Cris is in the ideal position to offer a comprehensive view on how HR procurement is evolving. Cris’ particular interest in HR procurement lies in exploring innovations in temporary labour solutions.

Cathy O’Dowd is a famous mountain climber best known for scaling Mount Everest from two sides, to date the only woman to have done so. Now a writer and motivational speaker Cathy offers audiences a unique insight into building relationships under pressure and quickly adapting to and succeeding in seemingly impossible environments. Jon Kesman is a Global Procurement Director with Allegis Global Solutions. In this role, Jon is responsible for working with clients to implement and expand Allegis’ Services Procurement solutions to better manage complex spend categories, introducing greater visibility, increased compliance and improving efficiency and cost control.

Jon has spent his entire 20 year career in indirect procurement, with a focus on Contingent Labour and Professional Services. Jon has a breadth of experience in developing and delivering category, strategic sourcing and spend management strategies in the complex areas of Consulting, HR Services, and Legal, and also has extensive experience in implementing and managing multi-country Contingent Labour programmes. 

Throughout his tenure in roles across consulting, procurement outsourcing, and steady-state strategic procurement organizations, Jon has kept focus on delivering cost savings, increasing visibility and insight, mitigating risk, introducing process efficiency and focusing on compliance to regulations and laws governing the management of non-employee resources.

Jon is a frequent presenter on his experience and successes at various procurement and industry best practice events, and he holds a B.A. in Purchasing and Operations Management from Michigan State University.

Jonathan Winters recently took over as head of procurement at the merchant bank Close Brothers having led the non-tech procurement team for Bank of America Merrill Lynch for 2 years. Previously Jonathan held senior sourcing positions at other major banks including Barclays, Llyods and HSBC making him an expert on procurement of HR and other categories in the finance sector. Joining ProcureCon HR and Extended Workforce for the first time Jonathan and his colleague Michael will offer transferable lessons in procurement of HR services in big and small finance.

Kirsty Machin is a senior procurement category manager for HR and Learning services at Deloitte, a leading consultancy and advisory firm. With 9 years’ experience mainly at blue chip companies Kirsty has acted in senior sourcing roles for companies including Renault, E&Y and the BBC. One of the key challenges she will be seeking to solve onsite through discussion and networking will be how to manage procurement compliance in a devolved HR and L&D environment.

Laura McCaffrey is the lead category manager for HR services at Marks and Spencer, a major grocer operating predominantly in the UK and present in markets around the world. With 3 years’ experience in procurement roles at Marks and Spencer Laura’s previous experience as a buyer was at Rolls Royce where she operated in Germany and the UK. Laura’s main focus will be to share best practice temporary labour procurement at ProcureCon HR and Extended Workforce.

Peter Schaar is responsible for procurement of software, technical skills, hardware and business services for IBM in Benelux with teams reporting to him in 5 countries. In addition he is the global HR procurement manager for HR and Recruitment making him a unique Hr procurement expert in the technology sector we are fortunate to welcome to ProcureCon HR and Extended Workforce this year. Peter has dedicated much of his career to working with IBM starting as a buyer with them in 1998.

Razvan Birjovanu is the head of sourcing strategies and deployment for Ericsson, a world leading provider of telecoms. Working in the Global Sourcing Services Office, Razvan is responsible for overseeing the development of procurement strategies for indirect services including HR. In this role he works closely with the HR stakeholder community as well as with 3rd party vendors to deliver the best HR services to Ericsson’s global workforce.

Andrea Sordi is a senior director of procurement business services at Mondelez International leading the global procurement strategic sourcing for business services & IT, including corporate and professional services. Reporting directly to the CPO, Andrea manages spend of $2.5Bn+ across the globe with 4 direct reports and 50 in his global team. Responsible for the entire sourcing strategy and supplier management Andrea is also accountable for organization design and developing procurement operating models.

Tim Harris currently heads up the HR and Professional Services procurement team for Takeda Pharma, a role he has held since mid-2015. Previous senior procurement roles Tim held include senior procurement manager at the London Stock Exchange, Head of Non IT Procurement EMEA at Bank of America Merill Lynch and category manager roles at Credit Suisse and ABN Amro. Tim brings a wealth of procurement experience, a deep understanding of procurement in financial markets and more recently insight into an exciting change in direction for Japan’s biggest Pharma business.

Scott Wilson is currently a senior HR category manager for Vodafone with more than 13 years’ experience in various procurement roles at a variety of major businesses in Europe and Australia. In his role today Scott manages a team of 8 overseeing procurement strategy for learning and development, relocation and other services, contingent workforce, permanent resourcing, executive recruitment and tools. 

Richard Wanless is an expert in implementation of VMS with over 18 years’ experience deploying technology solutions for various companies around the world. Currently working inside the Vodafone procurement team to ensure a smooth transition to a new VMS solution, Richard is well placed to offer key considerations for successful implementation of a VMS platform for temporary labour.

Ann-Francoise Versele has spent most of her career as a senior legal counsel only recently switching to take on a senior procurement role at NV Bekaert as global category manager corporate services. With such a wealth of legal expertise Ann-Francoise is well positioned to offer insight into the opportunities offered by changing relationships outside the business with suppliers and in the hidden possibilities of partnerships with business stakeholders too.

Sander Haken, Global Category Manager – HR Services, is responsible for 3rd party procurement for the Royal Dutch Shell group of companies, with a focus on Talent, Learning and Remuneration and Benefits contracts that span the group. Sander has 14 years procurement experience in Shell with a current focus on HR services but also has experience build up in the Real Estate space in new build, refurbishment and fit-out for the EMEA region.

Karen is responsible for leading all aspects of talent management for all EMEA-based Procurement including Supply Chain, Commercial, R&D, Business Services, and Procurement Shared Services at Johnson and Johnson, the world’s biggest healthcare business. Specific activities Karen looks after include the regional talent agenda, incorporating succession planning, competency models and career mapping, managing talent movement, enabling delivery of training programs to the region, and accountability for development programs.

Maarten Hansson is the Global Commodity Manager for Contingent Labour and Recruitment for Philips, a role he has held since April 2015. Previously Maarten worked at Dutch telecom giant KPN on various sourcing projects and continues to manage a start-up software recruitment business called SkipMonday.

Natascha Hauman, Director of Business Development at Allegis Global Solutions (AGS), has over 17 years’ experience in the talent acquisition and recruitment sector. Natascha began her career as a recruiter for a European staffing company in 1999, where she gained experience in recruiting, people management, sales and business development.

Ceri D'Mello, leads the HR and Professional Services Procurement team at AstraZeneca, managing 6 global procurement category teams procuring: Recruitment, Talent and Development, Compensation and Benefits, Finance, Management consultancy and Legal services. Managing a Procurement team of 13 global category managers and sourcing managers Ceri is responsible for establishing and communicating strategic direction, providing business context, coaching and direction to enable the team to meet its performance targets.

Rachael Mauler held senior global category leadership roles for Npower before joining market leading security firm G4S. Passionate about workforce management and the role procurement has in defining and delivering HR and temporary labour services, Rachael has a wealth of experience to share. Rachael currently reports to CPO Shaun Carroll and manages the businesses global spend on HR, working with internal HR business partners to service the needs of over 500,000 employees worldwide.

Currently responsible for business development and partnerships for Central and Eastern Europe including Turkey for the Chartered Institute for Procurement and Supply, Will is a key figure in the European regional procurement community. Spending much of his time with CPOs and their senior management teams enables Will to capture accurate insights into how they buy workforce solutions and the challenges they face doing so. Will previously worked in senior business development roles at Prenax, Travelex and IQPC.

Tim is responsible for the business development in the EMEA region for Beeline, a strategic business unit of Adecco Group, the world’s largest recruitment and workforce solutions provider. Before joining Beeline in 2015 Tim held operational management and leadership roles, working most recently in international business and branding for Adecco Management & Consulting S.A. based in Switzerland. Tim has 20 years of experience in the workforce services industry at both a country and international level.

Gareth Druce is Director, Business & Professional Services within RELX’s Global Procurement function. With a remit that includes Management Consulting, Legal, HR and Professional Services, he was originally responsible for the expansion of RELX’s contingent workforce programme (branded REflex) from the US into the UK back in December 2011. Gareth has over 18 years of Procurement and Supply Chain experience, gained in a career in which he has worked for a range of major companies and during which he has been based both in the UK and Sweden.

Irina is the Senior Manager for Global Sourcing and Professional Services at Mondelez Bulgaria and Switzerland. She is responsible for the development of global strategies in the spend area and jointly accountable with internal partners for the delivery of the budget targets for Compensation and Benefits Cost Package and People Recruitment and Development. She is a key contact for the global suppliers and lead of the dedicated supplier relationship program. With 6 years experience in Procurement and 9 in Finance, she has in total 13 years on a managerial position and 5 years in the Board of Management of the Bulgarian company, allowing her to gain solid business experience which she contributes to her role.

Based out of the UK, Karl is Vice President Global Practice Strategy Lead for KellyOCG’s Contingent Workforce Outsourcing division. He is responsible for leading KellyOCG in the design and thought leadership of its Contingent Workforce products and solutions. Prior to this, Karl was Global Client Relationship Lead for BP, one of our largest and most prestigious MSP customers. Managing over a $1 billion in spend, he was responsible for providing global strategic account management as well as solution development and workforce consultative services across BP’s global operations. In addition, Karl was responsible for supporting the growth and development Global Solutions, and of the Natural Resource vertical across EMEA and Asia Pacific. 

With over 25 years’ spent designing, implementing, procuring and managing complex enterprise wide outsourced MSP and RPO solutions, Karl brings an extensive level of experience to the team particularly in the areas of defining successful stakeholder engagement models and maintaining productive executive level client relationships . This includes tenures in Procurement at Citigroup with regional responsibility for HR Services and Flexible Staffing across EMEA and APAC, as well as significant experience gained in the cultivation and development of productive strategic alliances and partnerships between global MSP and RPO organisations. 

In his time, Karl has been instrumental in the development of solutions for AT&T, Merrill Lynch, CSC, Travelport, Transport for London (TfL) and Citigroup to name but a few. He is an expert on guiding clients towards the consideration and adoption of “blended” solutions, that allow organisations to effectively attract, assess, select, deploy and manage resources globally, irrespective of whether their requirements fall into the permanent or temporary staffing areas.

Jorien has been in her current role as Global Category Manager FG&S for roughly 2.5 years. She focuses on implementing global projects, currently within HR and Marcom. Before that she was for 3 years part of the Management Team for Indirect Spend as HR Business Partner. The DSM Indirect Sourcing organisation consist of 150 people working in the Indirect spend & P2P area, headed by the VP Indirect Spend. Annual spend on HR currently is approximately 65 million Euros. Top challenges Jorien is focusing on solving today include maintaining a good relationship with suppliers during times of transformation and change, change management and stakeholder alignment.

Sarah joined Standard Life in 2013 as a Procurement Manager and leads a team with a remit covering a number of procurement categories including HR, Premises, Consultancy, IT and Travel. Passionate about the power of effective engagement across the organisation to achieve success, Sarah is also aligned to the Investments and Wealth businesses. Prior to Standard Life, Sarah has held various global Procurement roles in Financial Services. Sarah has also has also worked as a Supply Chain Consultant in the Electronics and Manufacturing industry in North America.
